Object history and violation description

A monument of architecture and urban planning of local importance, protection number 90-Dts)

It is known from open sources that on January 5, 1870, the Kursk-Kharkiv-Azov railway was officially unveiled. One of the stations along the way was Kostiantynivka, owing its name to the eponymous village named in honor of its owner, Kostiantyn Nomikosov. In 1880, it was connected to the Kharkiv-Sevastopol railroad. The transformation of Kostiantynivka into a railway junction contributed to the industrial development of the area. In the 1900s, architect Volodymyr Hlazyrin designed an Art Nouveau station for Kostiantynivka, which was to stand on an island between the tracks. In particular, one facade was to face the Rostov-bound tracks and the other was to face the Yasynuvata-bound tracks. However, the station was not built during the years of the Russian Empire; only in 1926, a laconic one-story station building was constructed, which was destroyed during World War II. In its place, in 1955, a new two-story station appeared, for which a project by Syromyatnikov was reused, according to which the station in Kramatorsk had already been built in 1952.

Partially destroyed as a result of a KAB-250 aerial bomb attack by Russian troops on February 25, 2024. Due to this, there is a need for repair and restoration work to recreate the destroyed elements.
